Patty Wise (owner, Daydream):
I have been a client at Winter Hill Farm for more than 6 years. Of all the places I have boarded and the trainers I have had, this is the first place where I can sleep through the night knowing that my horse and my interests are well cared for.
The facility and level of care at Lynfield Farm are superb. I could never find another barn with the variety and quality of paddocks/turnout. The footing in both the indoor and outdoor rings is top notch and we are constantly getting new jumps both in the rings and in the fields. My horse sleeps on bedding that is knee deep – on top of his rubber mats! Further, the employees at the farm truly care for the horses. I routinely find them in a horses’ stall just there to hang out and pet the horse and love it as I would. It is touching to see someone who is charged with the routine care of my horse taking such a personal interest in him as well.
Tom and Tony are always willing and able to do whatever is necessary to improve on an existing rider/horse pair or create a new rider/horse pair. There seems to be an intuitive knowledge of which riders/horses will or will not work together. I have always felt that my goals were important and that we were all part of the same team working to achieve those goals at Winter Hill.

Randee Cherner
(owner, Complement & Cinnemascope):
I have been riding with Winter Hill for four years. Thanks to Tony and Tom, I have two beautiful and talented horses. I live in Potomac, MD and spend an hour each way to commute to the barn - and I don't mind one bit!
The training/lessons are top notch. Tony and Tom's approach is to create lessons that benefit both horse and rider and to prepare us for the "A" rated horse shows we attend. Their lessons are both challenging, fun, and most of all safe. When not lessoning, I love to go on trail rides around the property - and my horses, Boone & Archie, enjoy this as much as I do.
When I am away on vacation, I never worry about the care that my horses receive. The staff at Lynfield is always willing and eager to help.
An added bonus is the many fellow riders that have become my wonderful friends. Thanks to everyone at WHF I could not ask for a better place to further improve my riding skills and be surrounded by wonderful people.

Karen Arcuri (owner, Tommy):
Tommy and I could not be happier at Winter Hill Farm!
We love our lessons. Tom and Tony are great. They have both worked very hard together to come up with a program that has been specifically tailored to meet our needs. They do it for all of their clients. We are constantly learning – it has been so much fun!
Lynfield Farm is amazing – the indoor and outdoor rings are beautiful, the footing is great, the stalls are spacious, there is plenty of turnout and everything is immaculately maintained.
Again, Tommy’s daily care, feeding and turnout schedule has been tailored to meet his specific needs. He is a very happy horse.
If you want to work hard, improve your riding skills, watch your horse develop to his fullest potential and have a lot of fun surrounded by genuinely nice people, come to Winter Hill!

Patrice Mejias (owner, Uptowne):
I am very grateful to be a part of Winter Hill. Tony and Tom are wonderful teachers and I consistently see improvements in my riding and in my horse. Since coming to Winter Hill, a little over a year ago, I have gained confidence in my riding and began competing in the Amateur Owner Hunters for the first time. My horse, Gulliver, is the happiest I have ever seen him and loves all the turn out!
Everyone at the barn is extremely supportive and friendly making it a fun and relaxed atmosphere. The facility is beautiful and the rings have the best footing I have seen. My horse and I also love hacking out around the farm. Winter Hill makes it possible to balance riding with a busy schedule because I know that my horse is being meticulously cared for on the days I can’t make it to the barn.
Debbie Bryan (owner, Rustic):
I am a newcomer to Winter Hill in 2007 - after buying a young horse that was greener than I had planned. My first thought was to "buy him and take him to Tony Workman, one of the best in the business at making up young horses."
I keep my horses at home, shipping in several times a week and joining WHF at shows. I can't say enough about how blessed I feel to have found the Winter Hill family. I was welcomed with the most genuine hospitality by everyone there. Though I am not one of the boarders, they always have time for me to come have Rusty ridden or get a lesson - even their first day back from the holidays when every horse and customer is on the board for their time that day! I get the same professional, complete, and courteous service that the boarders get. And what a gift to have not one, but two talented riders and teachers available! I know whichever one is there to help me, or takes my horse to the ring, I am getting the best there is.
I have been around top show barns for several decades and during my first show with Winter Hill, I realized that I was with the most professional operation I have ever experienced. When Tom went back to the show grounds after dinner to hand walk every horse in the barn, no matter how many times they had already been out that day, I knew that even I couldn't care for my own horse any better than they would.
Even though we are just getting started, Tom and Tony have put both my young horse and me in the prizes every time out against the best of competition. I am looking so forward to the times ahead as part of their family, and so grateful I've found my "home."
